About Glacial Retreat: Chocorua Region

Reading the Landscape: the Story of Glacial Retreat Across the Chocorua Region
Thursday, March 7, 7pm
Nature Learning Center, Albany

Every landscape has a story to tell The challenge is for us to learn how to read the landscape as we read pages in a book. Join Dr. Robert Newton, Professor of Geosciences at Smith College, as he helps decipher our local landscape. His talk will examine the landscape features that help us determine how the continental glaciers retreated from the Chocorua-Sandwich Range area.

Unless otherwise stated, donations of $3 a person, $5 a family are appreciated.

The Tin Mountain Nature Program Series is sponsored by L.L. Bean and the Bank of New Hampshire. Tin Mountain Conservation Center is a 501(c) 3 non-profit environmental education organization serving the greater Mount Washington Valley for over 30 years.
