RACE POSTPONED TO 2012
10K Footrace "New England's Toughest 10K road Race" "One of New England's top 100 road Races" -New England Runner Magazine, 1999-2007
The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to be able to keep the tradition going... The Jackson Covered Bridge 10K Foot Race will take place on Saturday September 15, 2012 right where it has been happening for, now, the 33rd year!
The course said to be "New England's Toughest 10K" by USA Track and Field is electronically timed by Granite State Race Services. With more than 200 adult runners and walkers enjoying a mile-long uphill starting in the first mile, rising about 500 feet in elevation. During the race, you'll pass by nine of Jackson's popular B & B's, inns and a historic grand hotel. The final descent follows the Wildcat River along side of the "Jackson Falls" turning as you come back into the Village passing a quintessential New England "White Steeple Church" to the finish line. A Picture Perfect Race!
The race features prizes, home baked foods, ice cream, tee shirts for the first 100 registered racers and more.
Be sure to join us in making this traditional Jackson event a success for the 33rd time running!
