Black Mountain Stables is open from May through October and offers trail rides, cabin overnight horseback excursions, horse camp, pony rides and parties. Trail rides leave from the base of Black Mountain at an elevation of 2,000 feet. The views are breathtaking and our well trained and friendly horses offer an enjoyable experience. The Black Mountain Horse Camp is a great way for kids to learn about riding and caring for horses. Cabin overnight horseback excursions start with a horseback ride to a cozy log cabin high on Black Mountain where you spend the night after watching a beautiful sunset, and have a delicious dinner and s’mores around a campfire. Black Mountain is also a great setting for weddings and private functions. Amenities include a professional catering staff, full liquor license, bar/lounge, large outdoor deck and tent space, all surrounded by beautiful views.

Black Mountain Horse Camp is offered in two one-week sessions; beginning July 11th and July 15th & July 18th-22nd for kids ages 8-13.

Pony rides offered daily and pony parties can be scheduled at the mountain or at your home.
