Cross In The Glen Cyclocross Series October 25, 2009
Sundays: 10/25, 11/1, and 11/8/09. Heard of cyclocross? Thought it sounded like fun, but couldn't find a good race to just try it out?

The Cross in the Glen Cyclocross Series is perfect for you. Looking around the world of cyclocross, Great Glen Trails realized that most of the races were quite serious and fairly high-level. We wanted to put together a race series to introduce people to the great sport of cyclocross. You don't need an expensive cyclocross bike or an intimate knowledge of the top European cyclists, just a willingness to have fun and try something new.

That being said, we didn't say the Great Glen Trails cyclocross course would be easy. We'll put together a fun and challenging course with gravel trails, pavement, grass, run ups and obstacles—yup, you'll get it all. You'll get the real cyclocross experience in a laid back series. The series is also a great way for cyclocross racers to tune up for their big races.

Categories for Beginner, Intermediate and Elite. Beginners will race for 30 minutes. Intermediates and Elites race for 45 minutes.

Racers do not need a cyclocross specific bike. Mountain bikes are allowed.

Prize raffle at the end of the series. Complete 2 of 3 weeks to win.
