XC SkiingCross country skiing attracts many visitors to the Jackson area. Four area touring centers collectively offer over 325 km of trails including the best network in the East!
Whether you are planning to head out on the trails for the first time, or you're looking for a challenge, you'll definitely find it here. Ski inn-to-inn, stop for lunch or hot chocolate along the trail, travel over the river and through the woods, ski down Mt. Washington from just above treeline, or travel from the summit of Wildcat mountain to the village of Jackson. You will find plenty of options to match your ability.
All of these touring centers will help you get on the right track. Learn the basics or fine tune your skills with a lesson. Rent equipment for the day, try out the season's new equipment or purchase your own with the guidance of experienced skiers. Many touring centers offer you an option to take to the trails on snowshoes available for rent and purchase.
